I won't kid you. Odds are very good that sometime in the next 20 years someone is going to set off one or more nukes in anger. The good news: it ain't going to be a thousand of them. Maybe only ten in a full-scale exchange. Most likely, just one, in some terrorist action. Very bad for the people on scene, but no real damage to the rest of the world, or even to someone ten miles away, although if downwind certain precautions may be needed.
