I wanted to dig up the old Plumer polymer posts for you - but I found a message of his on the web, and so saved me a lot of trouble The two of you should definitely debate sometime. He could go on for twelve to twenty pages of cut-n-paste ranting and raving and you seem to have an aversion to using any area other than the subject line to converse. It would make for a fascinating debate of posting polar opposites.
