Mary Anne I tend to reserve my sacasm for SADI and, to a lesser extent, Tom.
I am very interested in the prison system and here in Florida it is a mess. Although prisons are probably not much better in other states, I am aware of the glaring inequities here at home.
Florida is one of only 13 states that take away and do not restore civil rights to convicted felons that eos'd out of the system.
Out of 15,000 convicts that completed their sentences last year, only 987 had their civil rights restored.
In fact, it might be of interest to note the during the last election under our Republican dominated government here in Florida it served a specific agenda to prohibit the 167,000 black Floridians that had completed their sentences from being able to register and vote.
Being a costal State we get a lot of sushi.
