They wouldn't need an army
after they voted in a referendum. We can't even use our military to police the border today thanks to the liberals screaming bloody murder. Imagine what they'd do if the army was sent in after a "democratic" vote to secede. Massive antiwar rallies would be held condemning the racist war against "our Hispanic brothers". Cries of ethnic cleansing would be heard as the military was sent in to subjugate the the break away population. The truth is that this country's no longer capable of fighting such a war. A sizable section of the population would rather give up a large chunk of our territory if the alternative meant fighting in their backyards. The SW is another Sudetenland and Kosovo waiting to happen.
