<Why not locate Saddam, and send a cruise missile where he is?

Actually, the idea of assassinating Saddam (which came up in the news here lately) seems to scandalize a lot of people. I have no idea why. It seems very efficient, and a lot easier on the general population. Obviously, this would set a precedent for knocking off world leaders left and right, which is why world leaders, who make the rules of war, have naturally passed rules against it.

Personally, I think knocking off world leaders left and right could only improve the human gene pool by weeding out whatever it is that makes one person want absolute control over other people.
