What makes Helen Thomas so special that she "deserves" a question at every press conference?
There are a lot of other journalists at each conference and only so many opportunities to ask a question. Helen Thomas doesn't deserve special treatment. In fact, given some of the things she's been saying about Bush lately, she shouldn't be surprised at being shut out.
