Beware Of Unintended Impressions

Keith,

Your comments are coming across to me as supporting DiGregorio's stance. Given you animosity towards him in the past I suggest you respond a little more calmly and with a little more detailed explanation. Focus on a balanced approach as Nielson did rather than a condemn Zubrin approach as Rummel and Race did.

I am not taking your comment out of context. I asked you specifically in a previous debate over Zubrin's accuracy whether the kinds of concerns you mentioned could result in the kinds of wide spread plagues DiGregorio is fond of promoting. You said no. If you have changed your mind admit it, but don't accuse me of distorting your words.

I plan to seek as much expert guidence as I can. I plan on contacting authors of the online references we are going to use to review commentary posted on our MSR website. I have purchased two recent relevant textbooks, one on Toxicology and the other on Microbiology to refresh my memory and update the material I learned in grad school to make sure I don't waste their time with outdated examples and material.

I'm not too happy with Zubrin's management style, but I'm not letting that lead me into a Zubrin bashing frenzy. I posted a message to the chapter-contacts list trying to lower the level of hostility the recent BOD resignations have prompted among supporters of both sides. I expressed support for Marc in a private letter and thought my contacts message leaned towards him. My point to the contacts and to you is don't assume some points of disagreement or points of agreement make anyone 100% against you or for your side.

Regards,
Mark
