Never said I don't come across as pompous or irritating myself at times. I know I do.
I am however fully capable of disagreeing and getting irritated with people without getting really angry at them. I have to do it as part of my job on a daily basis. I don't make a living interacting with people from a distance. I make a living trying to get people to discard old habits and procedures they are comfortable with in favor on new methods to make chemicals faster better AND cheaper (it is possible, it just ain't easy). This frequently causes people to become irritated epecially given my high level of tact ;-). Fortunately this is balanced by a willingness to hear others ideas and an ability to stay calm. I don't do as well here since my job doesn't depend on it, but I do try.
