VASIMR, schmASIMR
I agree, VASIMR is/was a neat concept, developed by
everybodys favorite Astronaut. Lets get real though, it was a technology that ws developed when nuclear (not pronounced
nu-Q-lur for you W fans out there) was more out of the question.
Now though, If they're going to be comitted to developing or
resurrecting space based fission reactors, the alure of
VASIschmazaMR, compared to a legitimate NTR is fading fast.
Makes a nice, pretty purple light though.....
