I think we may be observing a form of magnetics/gravity based on the fundamental atomic structures of the probe in relationship to the solar system.

In other words in deep space there is no harmonic compatibility with these atomic structures, the same way the space behaves when it is interfaced with the suns magnetic field.

It is entirely possible that a sort of sub-harmonic field exists around the sun in which our elements are interacting with to move about.

If this field diminishes, the atoms may meet a certain resistance. If this theory is correct - then the probe should eventually come to a complete stop - and actually drift back towards the sun.

This opens up a whole new factor in space, because all space is not equal - and is really a manifestation of fields. It also pose the possibility that light travels in this even 'more rarefied' space at a higher speed.

And if atoms of certain fields get no 'traction' in this type of space - it is quite possible this is the natural barrier to conventional space travel.
