I'm not buying the frequency stuff, but it would be interesting if there actually was a natural force that kept matter from leaving a solar system. Of course, if this were true, astronomical phenomena showing jets of matter, swirls of gas, or clouds of dust fired out from distant solar systems wouldn't exist.
