Re: Read the fusion paper- VERY disappointed

I agree... actually the fact that they dont present any helium tests makes me wonder if they are being intentionally misleading....

It was such an obvious test that would do soo much to support their claims that I kinda think they must have done the tests and got a negative result and decided not to mention it in their paper- My god! they work at a national lab! They MUST have had access to a helium detector!!!!! Hell, I built a mass spectrometer myself... There must have been dozens of groups there that had the equipment that the authors could have borrowed!

The journal Science bears some responsibility as well... I would never dream of submitting a paper with so many flaws on my research! And my results were only mildly controversial to a handful of people...99.999999% of people wouldn't care about my results- these guys were making a claim that most people would like to see come true.

If it wasnt for the sensationalism of fusion the paper would NOT have been published- the journal Science let the hype impair their judgement....

At best it was half assed research, at worst it was academic fraud... what motive they could have after what happened to pons and fleishmann I do not know...

Even if their results are repeated-(doubtful) I dont see it being anything like a power source...
