Re: Your Comment

"The basics of the experiment will be to put a man made snowball into space and watch what happens. The size of the nucleus and composition of it will be determined by payload factors of the launch vehicle.

Are you on board for adding your input into such an experiment? "

Sounds interesting. I've had wondered how exactly water and water ice reacts in vacuum for several years. I wrote a hypothesis which would predict an opposite result then what you are predicting:

I'm basically predicting that water ice doesn't form unless there is pressure, so I'm saying these small ice crystals need an atmosphere or some mechanism of forcing the water molecules together.
I'm not saying that I'm right or that if I'm wrong that you would be right- just thought I would mention it.
As far as proposed experiment. One thing I would mention is that LEO is significantly different than "outer space". ISS is flying through the Earth atmosphere (obviously it's extremely thin atmosphere). Another factor is the LEO is a warmer environment than merely the same distance from the Sun somewhere else in space. This is because are are close to a large warm body (Earth) which is radiating infrared.
