EP, The Last Australopithicus?
Fire kills but men tamed it.
Water drowns, but we learned to swim and play in it.
Snow and wind freeze, but we learned to make cloths and now live in climates were no other primates. Its even a vacation attraction.
Falls can kill anything, but we invented parachutes and hang-gliders to do it for fun.
Hazards have been met and conquered throughout our physical and cultural evolution.
I'm sure your kind of thinking was common among the extinct branches of human evolution.
Regards,
Mark
