The Solar D/H ratio is also the same as Earth's oceans, and comets.
D-forming nuclear processes don't occur at a significant rate outside of the core of a star, or a hydrogen bomb.
However, good marks for lateral thinking - always check whether there is an alternative route to the same answer!
