Why can't you have an asteroid impact through the ocean?
Isn't that what the (Chixiclub?) asteroid was supposed to have been in the gulf of mexico?
From what I saw on a TV program one time about it, the asteroid at the speed it was traveling would have hit the bottom of the ocean seconds after it breached the surface of the ocean.
