Enjoy your trip. I've gone up to do observing runs on Keck I and II and IRTF; the view is definitely worth the ordeal of ascent. I've also had the good luck of having my snowboard when a fortuitous snowstorm (which cancelled an observing run) struck. By the way, there is an article in the August 2002 issue of Discover Magazine that may interest you.
