You didn't just knock that one out of the park, it's still climbin'.

If we don't have affordable access to LEO, then why should the people who pay for it, take spaceflight/exploration seriously?
They shouldn't, and they don't.

Given these conditions, it's delusional to believe a manned mission to Mars will occur in our lifetime. (no matter how you massage the numbers)
