Clarification
Just to clarify, the Mars Institute is a research organization. As examples, it is more like the SouthWest Research Institute, Planetary Science Institute, and SETI Institute. It is not a grassroots advocacy group like the Mars Society. As a matter of fact we feel there is a need for a Mars advocacy group like the Mars Society. The two can co-exist.
