The human race could stall or prevent this fate for the Earth.

Using orbital shade(s) or some other way, humans could reduce the amount of Solar radiation reaching the Earth. This could make the Earth (and similar methods could be used for Venus) habitable long after the Sun has increased its energy output.

As the Sun swells, perhaps human will know how to move the Earth, and other planets, to a safer distance.

And when the sun dies, perhaps humans will know how to restart it using stellar Engineering.

More likely, or descendants will do something we have never even thought of. The human race has always been ingenious, especially when presented a tough problem.
