NASA now claiming debris not enough to cause damage??
From the video you clearly see a chunk of something falling behind the wing, and only vapor coming out the side... whatever hit the tiles, hit with enough force to disintegrate it... It should be possible from the video to determine the velocity of the debris relative to the shuttle... Has anyone seen any quotes for the velocity? It sure looked like one heck of an impact....
Also I keep seeing claims that the Columbia was the most massive shuttle- anyone know its mass?
