Talk about "Strawman!" Sheesh!

Questions are not insults, my good man.

Unfortunately, there are some people (not you, of course) who are threatened by questions, who fear challenges, and who insist on diverting attention from the real issues at hand to commence counting angels on pin heads. And they go berserk if you don't start counting angels too. /-0

Returning to the beginning of this thread, which you say I have nothing to contribute to (Felix as Blackwell: "excuse ME for interfering with your self pleasure, Doctor!") the issue we are dealing with is a question of whether "White Rock" is really "white."

You and Nick Hoffman say no, based on spectral analysis. Good enough. I say -- along with many others -- that visually, based on observed contrast, it's darned near "white."

Your point, I guess, is that we are not to believe our lying eyes when it comes to Mars, that we should believe instruments which support your conclusion.

I disagree, and I hope most others will at least be skeptical of your claims. I hope my point is made with gentle humor, but unfortunately you seem to take offense.

And in the meantime you launch one attack after another, not only against me but against anyone who disagrees with you and what you say they are to accept.

It's a habit of yours. Maybe it serves you well in academia, but it doesn't enhance anyone's understanding of Mars.

So Alex, as they used to say when I was in college, "Take a red."

Cheers,

BFelix
