To those who were hoping to find 'active' hot-springs on Mars...

...I say forget it!

The Mars Odyssey, with its THEMIS
IR imaging-system, has been orbiting and imaging all of Mars since Oct/2001.
Did it's THEMIS instrument detect any active hot-springs on Mars?
Did it find any evidence of dying, dormant or developing geo-thermal activity on Mars since 2001?
No!
It found none!...Zippo!

This makes it far less likely that any biological life now exists on Mars.

I tell you, I confess, I'm disappointed. But wishful thinking doesn't make a reality.
