Re: Religious fanatics

<I dream of a world without any religion, no Mormons, Catholics, Protestants, Christian scientists, Muslims...any religion that only diverts people from their own responsabilities. We need a few moral principles such as "Don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you", we need a good grasp of what life and death are, accept the fact that we return back , at death, to a state we were before birth. We also need to understand how insignificant we are (and definitely not "sacred creatures" made by a god).
Very very hard to get to.
But with all the killings going on "In the name god", we might finally get to that point.

So Raoul, how do you propose we dereligoeousize the popultion of this world? What you speak of smacks of socialism and communism to the extreme. To take away a person's belief system is impossible, but if you could, who are you to decide what people should believe. The Nazis and commies tried to do just that. To deny somebody the right to worship in the way they choose (barring it does not infringe on the rights of others) is as bad as the fanatics that wage holy wars in the name of their god(s).

Why not just have a dream that everybody is kind and respectful to one another without the religeon bashing? There are reasons other than religeon that people use for doing bad acts such as government, or race, or family origins. I suggest you change your dream slightly before you start parraleling that which you hate.
