Great post.

I think we don't want a quick solution. Everyone keeps saying it won't be a quick solution and they are correct.

To pretend that it would be as simple as just killing Bin Ladin or overthrowing the government in Afghanistan would be foolish. How many lives would it take before we are willing to pay the price of peace enforcement.

Those nations, leaders, and civilians that refuse to go along and who wink as terrorists that are in their midst must be made to pay the ultimate price.

Yes the cost of this action will be high. But the cost of inaction will be higher. Anyone who doubts that now will never be convinced. Not even a nuclear bomb destroying a major city would convince them.

We have no choice now. We must enforce peace. The terrorists have succeeded only in making the United States their controller. The United States must now actively manage the politics of the Middle East

I pray that the United States has the wisdom and courage to do what must be done to combat this evil. I pray that in 50 years that the Middle East will be like Japan and Germany. Once two of the most war-like nations on Earth, they are now two of the most peaceful.

The cost will be high. We must pay it.
