There are many meanings of the word conservative, but I was referring to the political definition. Politically conservative folks that I have known or seen on TV are just as good as anyone at shouting someone down. I think that the younger you are, the more likely you are to use this tactic, at least that seems to be true from my experience.

We will probably have to agree to disagree on your belief that the liberal thought is guided by college staff. We can still be buds, I hope. My daughter's university is certainly no hotbed of future commies. I have spent a good deal of time on campus.
