Having just eaten, I don't feel up to reading dozens of pages of Chomsky's detailed arguments. It's about as predictable as asking Hitler his opinions on the Jews.

Again, at the risk of being horribly annoying, I point out that we are regularly sending tens of thousands of our young people each year to institutions where they are taught by people who have a virulent, blinding hatred of our country, its values, its customs, and its principles.

We are fortunate indeed that much of this seems to go in one ear and out the other, leaving behind in the brain only a tendency toward liberalism. This says something for the common sense of our youth. I have also been encouraged by the patriotism of our young people in the past weeks.

That doesn't mean I'm going to stop leaning on the universities.
