Who? And who cares?

Her opinion really is no more informed or important than anyone else's, IMO. Fact is, it's predictable rant unimpeded by facts. Some excerpts:

"The small plastic boxes of food we also dropped are a travesty. It is reported that these are untouched, of course--Afghanis have spent their lives learning terror of anything hurled at them from the sky."

Point 1: ABC News last night showed just the opposite - those food packages are being collected. There are some items like peanut butter that the people are unfamiliar with and aren't eating. Some of the food was being fed to their animals. Still, I'm pretty sure this is the first time in history that a nation has simultaneously bombed another nation and dropped food supplies to the population.

"Meanwhile, the genuine food aid on which so many depended for survival has been halted by the war. We've killed whoever was too poor or crippled to flee, plus four humanitarian aid workers who coordinated the removal of land mines from the beleaguered Afghan soil."

Point 2: Wrong again. The food aid was stopped by the Taliban weeks before the bombing started. I guess when your knee-jerk reflective action is to "Blame America First", little things like facts to the contrary are easy to ignore.

We remind ourselves in plain English that the last time we got to elect somebody, the majority of us, by a straight popular-vote count, did not ask for the guy who is currently telling us we will win this war and not be "misunderestimated."

Point 3: If she's referring to presidential elections, then she has never elected one by a straight popular vote count. I guess she's too stupid to know how presidential elections have been conducted in this country for over 200 years.

Go ahead and read the rest of her pathetic rants at your leisure. None of them address the problem of people killing thousands of Americans. Instead, they're nothing more than a wish list of massive programs with a questionable track record for success. In the end, she's positive proof that the slogan of the old United Negro College Fund is true: "A mind is a terrible thing to waste."

BTW: Before anyone tries to twist that last line into some kind of racist remark, I have no idea nor interest in her race. All I was doing was giving the quote proper attribution.
