Saddam placed civilians in defense command centers, thinking they were sheltered, or perhaps seeking a sympathetic news release.
Civilian casualities are a fact of war.
Too bad.
We have a war to win, and we will not have the enemy dictating our targets.
We are not deliberately targeting civilians, and all informed, reasonable peole know this.
I know this, and that is more than enough for me.
