Are Pentagon media "sources" treasonous or just dangerously irresponsible?

This should get you hot under the collar.
I'm angry, because I have friends who were in the US Army Ranger
battalion in Ft. Lewis, Wash.
SOMEBODY, or SOME INDIVIDUALS in the Pentagon leaked
info of the Ranger raid into Afghanistan to the press.
Those fools who divulged such info not only risked US Military
lives, but also threaten to handcuff future US Military operations.
What should be done?
Here are my suggestions:
(1) You work for the Pentagon, you should be informed
that your telephone will be bugged. If you don't like it, find another job.

(2) If you work for the Pentagon, and you fall under mere suspicion for the first time
for being a press "source" [the source of a leak to the press] you should immediately be suspended from work for a week until you are either cleared or charged with a criminal offense.

(3) If you are suspected of leaking to the press a second time, it should land you in the mail-room; demoted from any
high-security position in the Pentagon. If you don't like it, collect your severence pay...
and out the door.

(4) A third time suspicion working for the Pentagon, you're fired; no appeal.
