The problem with Clinton

So many times I find myself reacting to a statement by Bill Clinton by thinking, "If only he really meant it or believed it"

It's not that certain of his statements are incorrect or inaccurate (although in this case blaming WTC on the Crusades is a ridiculous stretch)

The real problem with Clinton is his constant dishonesty, his near pathological interpretation of each and every situation in his personal and professional life as an epic political battle to be won no matter what the moral cost, no matter how many lies told. Truth is subjective and has no real meaning. It's whatever gets you the victory.

George Bush doesn't have half the raw brain power of Bill Clinton, but it's so reassuring to hear him and know that he really believes what he's saying, he means it, and I can trust him, even if I don't agree with him on all issues.
