Didn't mean to slight Bush
Sure, GW is a lot smarter than given credit for. I didn't mean him, I meant Clinton, with that remark.
But experts of all political stripes, left and right, will tell you how impressive Bill Clinton's raw intellect is, and how he can speak in depth on an amazing array of complex issues. His intellect was never the issue. His character, morality, ethics, or appaling lack thereof, was the issue.
