Which is of course a sad joke.
As the post modern society develops, the reactionary are those, from any persuasion, who refuse to prgress.
Certainly it can be said that the dems who were demanding balanced government budgets in the face of the recession that began in early 2000, were reactionaries, resisting the reasonable cures needed to stimulate the economy.
Certianly it can be said reasonably that the surprise from the left that policies which empower individuals to build prosperity actually work is a reactionary surprise.
The term reactionary has evolved into what it should be: an adverb that describes how a person or group responds to changing political dynamics.
The ability of the left to monopolize conversations via word control is eroding, as it should, and the resulting freedom to correctly and fully use the language is having a salutory effect on dialogue.
