The problem with 'devout' religionists usually is their religion. If one takes a literal translation of any religion's doctrines or sacred texts they are all as blood soaked as can be.

Unfortunately, the rational discarding of tenets which are unacceptable eludes those who use religion as a great escape mechanism.

In this case the father and mother are so insecure and full of self-hate they project it onto their kids - the only things they can 'control' - when they disobey their satisfaction and 'control' is threatened and because they can cloak their hatred of themselves, their children and their neighbors in 'religious creed' - they are more violent than the average psychopath to whom morality CONSTRAINS.

Religious fanatics believe their 'faith' and 'morals' support their viscious actions.

It's deeply disturbing and saddening. It's like watching history of our nation a hundred and fifty years ago. Unfortunately this planet has souls which are NOT as advanced in their thinking, compassion or caring - and events like this are painful reminders.

(Besides Tom, you needn't worry - most Jehovah's Witnesses I've known were democrats anyway. )

May light guide that girl to someplace she is much more loved, cherished and appreciated - and may this serve some good purpose in her future development.
