Israel pre-emptively attacked in 1967. It was not a defensive war.
Israel in the pre-emptive attack did wreck one of our clearly marked ships whilee the ship was in international waters.

That's not accurate at all. It's well known that Egypt and her Arab allies were in the final stages of planning an all-out attack to obliterate Israel, to completely destroy the Jewish state. The History Channel even had a special program on that 67 war recently, and went into detail describing the lead Egyptian general and his very well designed plan. Have you ever read the kind of public statements Nasser and the other Arab leaders were making at the time? He actually claimed, in fact bragged, that he was going to finish the job that Hitler started. And the constant shelling of Israel in border areas? Israel's 1967 pre-emptive strike was a heroic act that saved herself from all but certain destruction.

It's so hard to be neighborly when your neighbors are trying to kill you.
