Hi, guys--

And for another example of ridiculous concern for the poor and disenfranchised expressed through instruction in photography, see the "Out of the Dump" project. Our Young Adult department of the library holds a copy of the first book produced by these children, with the help of overly-serious Anglos. The kids use the money to buy their own school books, as the education system in Guatemala is quite laissez-faire: if you can't afford to buy the books, obviously you don't need the education. Anyone who starts cutting school finds their supply of film and their tech support cut off.

Silly people.

Happy Holidays--
Mary Anne
