This is why India is tempted to fight a nuclear war now, in 2001-2, instead of having to face one later. Pakistan only has about 50 nukes at present. If India launched strikes and knocked out 2/3 to 3/4 of them, she would face a maximum of 10-15 nuclear hits on Indian soil, which India does indeed believe she could survive...then destroy Pakistan with India's far superior arsenal.

Ironically, the real danger for Pakistan isn't that the country has nukes, it's that Pakistan doesn't have enough!
