The Real War, continued...

Chris Matthews, "objective reporter," takes off the gloves...

Obviously the Left is looking at the Enron incident as a much greater opportunity than simply the destruction of Republicans. With any luck, this could be a major step forward in the destruction of capitalism.

Democrats should humbly place the blame for Enron squarely on the Republicans.

Why? Because they're "cozy" with oil and gas guys. Because they ARE "oil and gas guys," thereby committing the worst possible crime in the eyes of a Democrat: having a business background--or God forbid, actually having BEEN a businessman--and actually possessing REAL KNOWLEDGE about a subject other than what is learned in a law school.

Never mind that the Bush Administration did NOTHING to help Enron. Never mind that they have nothing to hide.

To the Democrats, it is enough that the President spoke to these people. Guilt by distant association.

In the case of Enron, that oil connection comes into full view. We're also learning the dangers of keeping fast company.

After all, didn't Bush encourage stock ownership? As a candidate, didn't he want us to tie up Social Security funds in stocks?

So what's he doing hanging out with "Kenny Boy" and the other looters?

As we can see, Enron provides other great opportunities for the Left.

I have shown elsewhere how the Leftist goal of socialized medicine requires the destruction of private health alternatives, and the destruction of American confidence in HMOs and private insurance. The Left has made a lot of progress in this area.

Similarly, to preserve the structure of socialized retirement and other benefits--Social Security--the Left must destroy the confidence of Americans in any possible private alternative. Since one major alternative is investing retirement funds in the stock market, the Left must destroy the faith of Americans that the stock market can be a good investment. The tech crash helped them out a lot, but the destruction of Enron employee's retirement accounts is even better.

Look for this connection to be made many times in the near future. "You have stocks? A 401K? You poor sap. You'll never see a nickel."

"Shoot To Kill.

At least it's out in the open where everyone can see it now.
