I was just making a comment on his little malfunction.

Nah, he's not stupid. He's just a corporate shill. Not that this
is unusual for a politician in either party.

Nevermind that that comment was just a contemporaneous and
slightly humerous allusion to soften up the reader before diving
into my rant.
