I never meant to suggest he has no causes...I merely suggest that his words are an insult to a nation that is proving its resolve to the entire world. If I misinterpreted his comments, please let me know how.
I support some pet causes as well, financially and in other ways, just as I'm sure you do. No one places us on a pedestal because of it, though, and we should't place Turner there either.
My father risked his life flying over Germany during WWII, and I know a number of people--younger people--who can tell you harrowing personal stories of bravery in service to their country. Again, if I misinterpreted Turner's remarks, I'd appreciate an indication of how. Otherwise, if he meant what it appears he said, he should get down on all fours and kiss their asses.
