"Bush inherited the world's strongest, most robust economy."
You keep saying that statement is in error. Please do the favor of pointing out who is or was stronger than the US in early 2001. It's a small world, it should be easy to see. Or had the world ever known one in previous times - maybe 1940 Germany, 1980 Japan, maybe the EU in the mid-'90s?
What would you be saying if I had said the US economy was the second, or third, or fourth strongest economy in the world at the time of the Bush inaugration? I suspect you would have protested that, too.
My original premise was that no matter what someone who is perceived as a "liberal" said there would be a certain percentage of people who would have to disagree, knee-jerk, as Mark Eby pointed out. Unless you can point out a stronger economy than that of the US, I think that premise has been validated, in spades.
There isn't much sense going over the rest of the points if we're going to stay stuck on this one.
