By and large I support Kennedy's policies. He was for tax cuts in a recession and delivered on them. He was for equal rights for all regardless of race. He was for a strong national defense and acted unilaterally. He did provide the political impetus for the Apollo program. Eisenhower was no fan of a big space program.

I contend that it is the Democratic party has left many of us in its quest for the all powerful welfare state with complete government control in all areas. I am not comfortable being lumped in with the Pat Robertson's of the world when voting for the other team as I mostly do now but I figure that the Dems also have black sheep with an ex-KKK type in a major party position.
