Speaking of media bias. We were, weren't we?
The Washington Post had an article about an emergency group of officials designed to act as a backup in case of a terrorist attack on the main government. This is old news for anyone familiar with the Cold War, but the Post decided to paste the term "shadow government" on this.
This is an obvious attempt to somehow make the whole thing look "sinister" and "conspiratorial." The term has been obligingly picked up by the rest of the media, beating out "gravitas" as the current record holder for Programmed Democratic Media Output.
