I'm missing the fun today while life beckons!! It isn't fair! For now -
<As usual, my main point drifts off into the ether while my sentences get parsed to death.>
You caught me in two old liberal tricks, one sneaky and one not-so-sneaky.
1: The sneaky one is trying to divine another persons meaning through their words, sentences and paragraphs.
2: The not-so-sneaky one is the liberal habit of denying that which one didn’t say.
Don’t blame you for being upset. Taken together, they sort of hamstring a conservative. Not sure that’s fair.
That is the crux. What do we expect from government? It seems to me that we demand a lot, from proactive defense and safe products for consumers to a regulated stock market and central banking. To finance that takes taxes, and taxation takes laws.
And, my mantra: When the law can be used to plunder, the plunderers will make the laws.
Now, my view is that conservative plunderers systematically attempt to plunder from the entire system and funnel that money as directly as possible to those who finance them - the wealthy.
Liberal plunderers attempt to see that it's a government "of the people, for the people, and by the people" and use that money to benefit all people, not just the wealthy.
Gotta go. Don't even get to read all the thread.
