Who are STRATFOR?

It appears that is it a slick website for the promotion of this guy.

It is an interesting site and I have no problem with the opinions expressed. However, they have been attempting to promote the idea of a quagmire from day one and the most notable thing about the articles so far is how far off the mark they have been.

Friedman reminds me of some fund managers that I have come to know and love. Based on recent history, I suppose we should take heart from his prediction.
