Again, I would be very interesting in seeing a single, solid thing that Ashcroft has done to have liberals pronounce him the psychotic raving lunatic that seems to be the verdict nowadays for anyone in politics who is not a raving Marxist. Aside from the crime of actually believing in a God other than the State, of course.
Re: The Statue.
You know, there's a diagnosis for people that have to have the same damned thing explained to them over and over again. In England, a polite colloquialism might be, "thick."
I replied to this post of yours with this response. As I referred to in THAT response, Lindy brought up the stupid statue bit even earlier, to which I also responded with the same damn explanation.
Now, if I explain yet again that the statues were covered because the press insisted on lying on the floor in odd positions so they could get shots of Ashcroft with a couple of metal hooters in the frame (hardy har har on conservative Ashcroft), this will now make three times.
If one examines this picture, one notes that the photographer could move five feet in either direction to get the tit out of the picture. But that wouldn't be any fun, would it? Nor would it be any fun for an editor to select one of the other fifty or so shots the photographer got that didn't show that bastard conservative in front of a naked headlight.
Do these idiots think they are kidding anyone?
Now, has the point actually sunk in, or am I going to see the same horseshit about the statue in another post tomorrow? This is getting as irritating as the Florida Election crap.
In my more cynical moments I theorize that the only reason hardcore liberals act the way they do is because the portion of their brains devoted to reasoning is atrophied, and that they are unable to smack a thesis and antithesis together to form a synthesis, much less integrate concepts into abstractions. Stuck on the perceptual level, their view of politics--or anything else--is similar to that of a small baby who is unable to form mental connections to the point that if you show it a ball, put it behind your back and take it out the other side, the baby thinks it is a different ball.
Of course, that is in my cynical moments. I realize that you guys probably deliberately act like helium-brains just to see my blood pressure shoot up.
