In proper deference to the "Keeper of the Boards" who properly pointed out to Publius that Publius' response to a message could be considered a flame, I've posted my main response to your thoughtful, on-topic, constructive post on the Flame Board.
However, since you tossed out the word "diagnosis", there is a real, live, official DSM-IV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, version IV) diagnosis for people who believe that unless others agree with them it's a communication problem.
They have a very difficult time believing that others could see the same situation and come up with different conclusions, and believe, in their heart of hearts, that the other people are wrong and probably evil.
For them a "communication problem" is having someone disagree.
If you want, I'll give you the keywords, a search for which will lead to that diagnosis.
