Most of the violence is carried out by the men. I don't want to seem like a punk, but many of the reports I have seen have shown women and girls playing to the cameras, and promising to send their sons into battle. Tonight I saw a palestinian women crying in front of the camera saying she would "sacrifice all her sons for palestine". I don't know if this is the correct translation, but is it possible that Palestinian women are breeding hatred and violence into their children from an early age?
What should we do about the the mothers and teachers of terrorists and suicide bombers ? What are the issues for the women? Are they poor? Are they unequal ? Are they cowards ? Are they not "content" ? Is the struggle for them religious, territorial, gender-based ? Do they not have enough say in how their children are raised ? What is going on with the women ?
