I'm averse to surrendering soverignty to regiems that my ancestors fled. In the case of Israel, these same countries are assaulting soccer players, worshipers at synagogues and systematically ignoring the pervasive and OPEN rhetoric in the Arab press that describes Jews as drinking the blood of baby Christians and calls for the obliteration of Israel. This stuff used to be hidden by the PC press but the advent of the Internet has revealed the blatant anti-semitism and blind hatred of Jews for all to see.
A better arguement for expansion into space as a new venue for social frontiers can't be made.
