Does your last post seem like it comes out of left field to you? I'm sure there's a history BBS somewhere, you might want that one. Or the "flight of association" BBS.

Probably a couple of points worth observing. Billy Carter was an embarrassment, but at least he didn't cost the taxpayers anything much. By the time the Secret Service is through covering up and keeping the Bush girls out of trouble it's going to cost the taxpayer a bundle - a big bundle.

Second, nothing could "stick" to Reagan because he couldn't remember anything. Nothing was there. His official biographer couldn't find anything but platitudes. He was really the right-wing Rohrschach President - the right wing saw anything it wanted to see because there wasn't anything. Greed and excesses ruled the world because Reagan's "advisors" (there was nothing to "advise") took over. Talk about the emperor's new clothes!

I don't know why Republicans keep nominating dumb people for president. Seems to appeal to them, and, true, they don't seem to realize their folks are really stupid. That last one with a brain, Nixon, drove himself out of office. And he was followed by, guess who, Ford. A genuinely nice guy, hard worker, but had the following power of a, say, trained elephant. Frankly, I don't believe he's as dumb as he acted.

Now, please sit down for this one. It's a shock. I appreciate the designation of "JC", if it stands for your Deity, and there are two things wrong with it. First, I'm not Him or His reincarnation. I'm sorry, I'm just not. Hard to believe, and true. My mother does call me "son", but it's with a lower case "s". To quote the famous SNL comedian DC, "I am not worthy!"

If it'll help you get a grip on that reality, I'm willing keep that little secret between the two of us for a little while.

Second, take a deep breath and pause for a second. OK. You probably aren't the one who will designate whoever is the next incarnation. Maybe you are, but I'm not putting any money on it if you get my drift. (Wouldn't be prudent.) See, if you were, you'd have probably gotten it right the first time.

Well, this has been fun. I hope you're feeling better. That "flight of association" will leave, I promise, and if you stay on the meds won't come back. You won't feel the need to appoint a deity, and may even get to go back to work.

And I don't want you to think I don't appreciate your efforts. Don't think that.
